When you attend the Service Bureau for filing court documents, preparation is in two stages: submitting documents, and later collecting the Court’s reply. The checklist below follows the official eLitigation Service Bureau guidance.
Stage I — Submitting documents
Bring everything you need so staff can accept your filing in one visit.
Forms & templates
- Two copies of the Requisition Form for each set of filing templates you are submitting.
- For each document or case to be filed, one set of the relevant Paper Filing Templates (opens in new tab).
- One set of the court documents themselves, where your matter requires them.
Authorisation & proof
- A Letter of Authorisation if someone other than the party is submitting on their behalf (when required).
- After payment, you will receive a copy of the Requisition Form together with an Acknowledgement Slip as proof of submission — keep these safe for tracking and collection.
Stage II — Collecting replies from the Court
When the Court’s reply is ready, return to the Service Bureau counters with:
- Your Requisition Form and Acknowledgement Slip from the original submission.
- You will collect and check the reply, then sign the Acknowledgement for Collection.
Same-day processing cut-off
Documents are processed and transmitted to the Court by 11:59pm on the same day if they are submitted to the Service Bureau:
- before 5:00pm on weekdays, or
- before 12:30pm on Saturdays (only where filing is fully completed and Saturday service applies — State Courts Service Bureau).
Submissions after these times are treated as received on the next working day. Arrive within your appointment window with documents complete to avoid missing the cut-off.
